Hampstead Apartment

Full refurbishment and extension project of a ground-floor garden apartment in West Hampstead. Currently unoccupied and fallen into disrepair, the immense potential of this South facing apartment with a vast garden was clear to see from day one. The task at hand became quite simply to realise the potential and make the best use of the external space. Full width extension was proposed to enlarge the space with wide slide and turn glass doors which in warmer months could delete the distinction between inside and out. Internally, a carefully selected palette of natural and tactile materials of wood, lime wash paint and travertine stone complete a well-rounded design which will make for a tranquil space when realised.
